Events

Check here for upcoming FSSG events, as well as other events happening in the Boston area. (There are usually fundraising events for charity if you need to rationalize going out all the time) We always have a blast at our events, come find out for yourself!

If you have an idea for an FSSG outing or event, please email Kathy at fssg@hotmail.com. Let me know your ideas and when you are available to lead the group for your event. We are always looking for new fun things for the group to do!

Saturday June 28: Greater Boston Food Bank (Single Volunteers of Boston)
8:45am-1pm. Cereal, macaroni, soup, oh my! Learn the art of sorting food and walk away knowing how much of an impact you have made on the lives of others while getting to know your fellow volunteers. We know this is an early morning call, but what a great way to start the weekend! Volunteers will be cleaning, sorting, boxing, and weighing food for distribution throughout the Greater Boston region.

Saturday June 28: Saturday's Bread (Single Volunteers of Boston)
12:30pm - 4:30pm
Saturday’s Bread was founded upon the insight that, while there were food programs for people in need in Boston from Monday through Friday, few, if any, served meals on Saturday/Sunday. The goal was – and is -- to fill this crucial gap. We will be helping cook/serve/setup for a meal during our shift.
